Bailey is a beautiful Calico cat who I rescued from a dumpster as a very young kitten. When I brought her home I had to mix her food with milk and warm it up for her to eat it. She has been a very loving and loyal cat for all the years that I have had her.
Bailey has very odd eating habits. She is very finicky when it comes to cat food, but yet she loves lettuce. An ongoing joke with the family is that she is part rabbit as she likes vegtables but will not eat cat treats of any sort. Her favorite 'treat' is when you finish your cereal bowl and put it down for her to drink the milk out of it. She will sit at your feet and wait while you eat the entire bowl and wait for you to put it down for her. Most of the time she is very good about waiting on the floor for it, every now and then she will jump up on your lap which she gets scolded for.
Her best friend in life was Jelly Belly, Her and Jelly Belly were soul mates, they did everything together. They were constantly curled up sleeping together as you can see in the picture below. The relationship she had with Jelly Belly was a unique one. She has been around several other cats in her life time and never bonded to any of them as she did with Jelly Belly. Bailey and Lexy never really got close, they put up with each other but that was about it. Bailey and Tallie barely got along at all, if they got physically close they would growl at eachother.
Bailey is a very maternal cat. She acts as if the kids are her own. If one of them is crying she comes running to find out what is wrong. When it is bed time she goes from room to room checking on the kids untill they are asleep, and usually she will curl up with one of them and go to sleep while she waits for me to go to bed. When I go to bed she comes up and sleeps next to my head on my pillow. She is an odd kitty in the sense that she doesn't like cat toys, she wont use a scratching post, she doesnt do the 'normal' kitty things. The one thing she does do is she loves to be on your lap... the second anyone comes into our home and sits down shes right there pushing her way onto their lap demanding some attention. I have had some people tell me that she is very rude as she jumps on your lap no matter what, and others have told me that she is an adorable lovey cat. So she is one of those cats that you either love or hate. She is just Bailey, always has been that way and always will be.
