contrary to popular belief...
Not all of my poetry is dark, dismal and gory. There are several poems that I have written in dedication to those in my life who have made a differance in one way or another. They all have copies of their poems, but I decided to let everyone else know how important and special these people are to me. Below are these poems.

For a true friend,
I have searched for many years
neglecting the gem that has been with me all along.
I have a friend,
Who has been there for me
thru every battle I have faced.
Who has lifted me up
from every fall I have made.
Who has held my hand
and stood by me thru my weak times.
I have a friend who has done more for me
than anyone else possibly could
and she is the one friend who has been overlooked
for all these years.
I have a best friend…
and she is more than my best friend..
she is my mother.
Written for, and dedicated to:My mother, who has put up with more from me… than she ever deserved. I love you mom!
There is a man that I know
who's strength is that of David's
he is a bearer of unbearable things.
And even with all of the pain and anguish
he is always willing to give of himself to others
and to give his all to the service of Jehovah
just as the widow in Jesus day
what little he has... he gives.
the pain this man goes through
most couldn't even imagine
much less live through.
and through it all his love has shown through
and I must say..
that I'm very proud to admit
that this man
Is my father.
Thru the eyes of a child…
Her beauty is something Barbie only strives to achieve
Beauty as that of a hand crafted porcelain doll
A heart soft and tender,
Just as morning dew upon a freshly
Bloomed rose
Strength like that of rejuvenating armor,
No matter how many times it's pierced thru
It never weakens
Love that is true and unconditional
Love that is constant,
Just as the sunrise and sunset.Written for and Dedicated to:
My aunt, Laura.
Hero
No matter how old I get
there are people who retain childhood heroism
in my mind
One that is strong enough to fight...
all the monsters in the closet of life
One that is tender enough to mend...
all the wounds from the battles in daily living
one that is always there to catch you...
from any fall from the cliffs of temptation
even if they have warned you not to step there.
No matter where you go in life...
or how distant you become...
deep in your heart your hero is always there.
Then word comes of a battle against you hero...
that is stronger than he has ever faced
all the fighting, mending, and catching...
has weakened the hero.
Reality hits, maybe my hero isn't immortal
What will I do without my hero?
I sit and hope that my hero will once again conquer the darkness that is fighting him...
and I wonder... was saying a simple thank you enough...
does he really know how much he has meant to my life...
does he know how much I love him...
A word of advice... never take your hero for granted
and never give up the chance..
to be a hero in return.
Written for and dedicated to:William M. Fox, My grandfather...my hero
There are a very few people in this world
Who take their own time and give of themselves
To help the children of today in any way at all.
There is a person, however,
Who gives of herself completley
to "her children"
She gives of her time, energy, love
and her devotion
so she can give them the best education,
a safe place where they can turn to
and a comforting hug when needed.
She accepts and loves each child individually
She gives the children an unconditional love
that they might not get anywhere else.
She gives each and every child
the chance to be their greatest.
She is a teacher
But not only a teacher of academics
She is a teacher of life, love and respect.

Finger Prints
There are Hundreds of people that a person comes across in their lifetime...
Many of them are in and out of your life without a trace left of them being there...
But there are those few, those few loved ones that leave fingerprints on your soul.
Even if they were only in your life a short time they have left permanent markings on your soul
Some people only take a short time, sometimes only a matter of hours to leave their fingerprints on your heart
Those fingerprints are always there to look back on... to remind you of the good times, and help you through the rough times
There are times in life when all you have left of a loved one is those fingerprints that they left behind.
So always take the time to tell those that you love that you do love them, and cherish every moment you have together.Written for, and dedicated to:
All of those who have come into my life, and left their touch on my heart.
